The Helix Nebula glows like a giant golden eye in the sky in this image, released by the European Southern Observatory (ESO).
The Helix Nebula is also known as NGC 7293rd Such nebulae are the final blaze of sun-like star, which then remains is still a hot core, called a white dwarf.
The Helix Nebula is located in the constellation Aquarius. Because he is close to the ground relatively, he covered the sky, an area the size of a quarter of the full moon. Therefore it can be observed from observatories accurate than other planetary nebulae.
The Helix Nebula was discovered several years ago by the Hubble Space Telescope – and by a coincidence: To protect against Leonid meteor showers, the telescope was rotated, while the Hubble Helix Nebula was targeted. Total made the Hubble Space Telescope images of the nine individual planetary nebula….,-)
