Former Navy pilot: UFOs are national security threat

On Friday, May 14, a former Navy pilot said that he and his crew had observed unidentified flying objects (UFOs) on a daily basis in the restricted airspace southeast of Virginia Beach ever since 2019.

Appearing on CBS’s 60 Minutes to talk about his experience with UFOs during his military career, former Navy Lt. Ryan Graves said the unique vessels were sighted so often that caution was no longer raised, which the lieutenant said was a security threat.

“I am worried, frankly. You know, if these were tactical jets from another country that were hanging out up there, it would be a massive issue,” Graves said. “But because it looks slightly different, we’re not willing to actually look at the problem in the face. We’re happy to just ignore the fact that these are out there, watching us every day.”

A federal order for documentation on the UAP, the Pentagon term for unidentified aerial phenomena, was issued in last December. The report from the Director of National Intelligence and the Secretary of Defense will be aired next month, said CBS.

Graves revealed that some pilots thought the objects could be something other than regular “alien” spacecraft. They could be secret technology from another country, a spy device from foreign U.S rivals, or something else.

“This is a difficult one to explain. You have rotation, you have high altitudes. You have propulsion, right? I don’t know. I don’t know what it is, frankly,” Graves said as he watched an unclassified video.

“I would say, you know, the highest probability is it’s a threat observation program,” he said, including speculation that they could originate from China or Russia.

“Look at that thing, it’s rotating. They’re all going against the wind. The wind’s 120 knots to the west,” the pilot said on 60 Minutes.

CBS added that according to former DOD official Luis Elizondo who investigated UAP for years, the technology from the spacecraft could be far beyond human intellect.

“Imagine a technology that can do 600 to 700 G-forces, that can fly 13,000 miles an hour, that, that can evade radar and can fly through air and water and possibly space, and oh, by the way, has no obvious signs of propulsion, no wings, no control surfaces and yet still can defy the natural effects of Earth’s gravity,” said Elizondo. “That’s precisely what we’re seeing.”

In June this year, Congress expects to see an unclassified report of the UAP by the Director of National Intelligence and the Pentagon, an order issued by Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) in 2020 when he was head of the Senate Intelligence Committee.
